Colombian Juan Humberto Rois, aka Juancho, started playing accordion at a very young age, performing Alfredo Gutiérrez' songs, joining a local festival called ~Cuna de Compositores (Composers Cradle) in 1977, and coming in first place after participating in ~Festival del Fique. The opportunity to make his first record came after teaming up with Juan Piña. Juancho joined Diómedes DÃaz soon after and recorded a successful album called La Locura. Following that album, he made La Fuetera with ElÃas Rosado. After working with Raúl MartÃnez, Juan Humberto Rois achieved a Gongo de Oro award for Best Vallenato Act, later creating a new style by mixing Colombian folklore and Dominican merengue. The talented musician passed away in 1994 after an airplane crash.
